About Day Hike to Mount Kilimanjaro:
You will be picked up in Arusha or Moshi and driven to Kilimanjaro National Park. For those who don't want to climb the whole mountain a day hike to the first huts is a perfect way to go.
The park includes the whole of Mount Kilimanjaro above the tree line and the surrounding montane forest belt above 1,820 metres. A variety of animals can be found in the park. Later drive back to Arusha or Moshi.
About 8:30 am you will start the climb. During the day you will climb up to Maudi Crater which is about 3000 meters from sea level. In the middle of your day you will enjoy picnic lunch while admiring amazing views.
The hiking takes about 7 hours. Around 5 pm you will be picked at the gate and drive back to your hotel in Moshi/Arusha town.
Prepare your hiking shoes, it´s also good to wear something on your head to protect your face from sun burn.
You should have a light back bag for your small things and drinking water.
